Bookmarks with chalk!

Hi There,

Today I am sharing a bookmark that is so easy to make.  You could really customize it to your hearts desire.  I wanted to incorporate chalk and lace into this project.  My focal image cardstock was cream colored, and I used Stamp N Plus Scrap N powdered to give it a little character!

Laugh...

Hey, thanks for stopping by to see my project today...

I love to Laugh so this card was so fitting for me...
I just might have to give it to myself..lol

Can you see the chalk...
It's stardust colored chalk added to some water in a misting spray
It can be added to just about anything

here is the card before I added the chalk spray

I used some paper and card stock from the stash
my new flowers that I got in bulk from I am Rose web site
(plan on waiting a long long time for them, but it is worth the wait, they are perfect)
I got the flowers in white as I can use all kinds of things to color them,
this time I used Alcohol markers, Spectrum Noir
added a brad to the middle, so cute huh...
I used an embossing folder for the yellow background
The stamps are from the 'Laugh With Me Quotes' by Fiskars
(I have had my eyes on this stamp set for a while)
The inside of the card reads:
"Laughter if the shortest distance between two people" Victor Borge

Don't forget about our challenge, this months challenge is coming to an end

Stamping with glue pad and chalk!

Hi There,

I love butterfly stamps!  And my card today features a beautiful butterfly stamp from Unity Stamps, which was stamped with glue and dusted with Stamp n Plus Scrap N powdered chalk.  Have you tried stamping with the Tsukineko glue pad vs. a Versamark pad and using chalk?  I like the depth of image that I tend to get with the glue pad, when using powdered chalk in this fashion.

Hey you, How are you?

Using chalk inks for distressing!

Hello!

Tameko here to share a quick Friday project.

DSC_0007-WM

I used brown chalk ink to add a little aged to look around all my papers for this card.  There are so many options for distressing products today, and chalk inks work well also.

Remember you still have time to join in our “Let’s Play Bingo” challenge.

You can use any image, and any kind of chalk products.

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

New Techniques

Happy Thursday you all...
I hope your having a wonderful week...
I know I am...
This week I want to share a project/card
with a new technique, to me anyway...

a friend spotted this and gave it to me to show to you !!!

so what you do is use your chalk to apply different colors directly to the paper
then take a ruler and an eraser and erase the chalk in lines/strips
you cannot really see it on this project cuz I got carried away with other stuff
but it's there..
I love chalks! They can be so fun and easy to work with,
I used 4 different colors of chalk
then erased the lines at the diagonal
then stamped the flourish background
added a simple sentiment and a button from the stash...
oh and used the triple layer stamp technique too...
I have added the tutorial on how to do the
triple layer stamp technique that I made...

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial on this...
it's been really fun making this card
using these different techniques...

Until next time...

Cherish & Chalk

Hello!  Jennifer here to remind you to Cherish your family and friends...you never know how long you will get with them!  Last night my Aunt lost her battle with Cancer.  From the time she knew until the time she passed was only a matter of weeks.  Tomorrow we will be on our way to meet up with the rest of the family.  It's an almost 13 hour drive but I am eager to give my family members a hug when I see them!

I did this card with craft markers, vellum stickers, flowers, brad, cardstock/papers, and the chalk is on the textured looking paper under the digi stamp and flowers.  I mixed powdered chalk, alcohol inks, glitter, and water and let dry.  On top in two corners I used two sided tape and sprinkled powdered chalk over top and brushed away with a brush (to cover the adhesive strip with the chalk).  The Powdered Chalk I used was from Stamp N Plus Scrap N.

Vogue in chalk!
