21st Birthday

I made her this card for a young lady who turns 21 today. I used wisteria colored fluid chalk inkpad for around the outside of the picture I colored.

I love the way the wisteria color (light purple) inking chalk looks on the frame. It looks smoother and softer than just plain ink.

Thanks, from Lory's World and Chalk N Stock, for stopping by today and there is still time to submit a project for the anything goes as long as there is chalk challenge.

Tameko's Christmas Card

Hello, and Happy Black Friday!

I did a little bit of shopping today, and I still managed to get into craft space and do a little creating.  And I am glad I did.  Life feels busy crazy already, and my mojo has been a little off.

I used powdered chalk to color my white cardstock for my tree image.  I really like the way the colors blend together.
More details on my blog.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Nikki's Inspiration Wednesday!

I hope this Wednesday finds you all well and ready to craft!  Here is my little piece of inspiration for you!

There are more details about this project on my blog, but I have used black chalk to create the distressed look around the image and then coloured the bugaboo 'deaconwings' image with pro markers

Close up

Thank you for looking at my post and hope to see you on my blog too :o)

Gobble, Gobble

This morning I used a very cute turkey stamp from Bugaboo stamps to do my project.

I used chalks to color the turkey and chalk ink for the sentiment. Please visit Lorby's World for more information and have a great day and Happy Thanksgiving.

Monday, Monday...

You know the song...always gets me down...well not if you were to receive this card in the mail.  I started with this adorable Scruffy Puppy heart image by Bugaboo:

I colored him first with Copics and then added chalk in the areas where the shadows would be...  I then found some scrap pattern paper that matched my colors perfectly...and added the sentiment rubon.

I hope you'll try using you chalks with your Copics and see what you come up with...

Happy crafting...Lynda

It's too early for Christmas Cards, but....

Ok, here is a quick post...

something you can do so easy with chalk...

Put some chalk in a spray bottle with some water/alcohol mix and
spray spray spray your heart away...

That's what I do most of the time when I use chalks...

Here is another simple card using this technique...

its hard to see the shimmer the stardust chalk gives but it does make it shine pretty...
so simple and fun...
so get yourself a little spray bottle and add some perfect pearls or something like that...

add your 2 favorite colors together and there you have a challenge entry for this

Poinsettia Blooms Stamp set...
some ribbon from the stash...
embossing folder by Darice
Love it...how about you... what do you think...

Remember you could be a winner of 7 digi's if you just try...
try to use chalk...its fun and you might get hooked like me...

Happy Chalk'n

New to the Team

Good Wednesday to you...

I am so excited to be part of the Chalk n Stock DT and help them promote such a great and fun medium. Katie, from the team, got me to try chalks in my projects and I just love using them now. They give a softness that you don't get with alcohol markers.

I used Pebbles Inc. chalk to color in the stamp on my birthday card. It's just a regular stamp that I heat embossed. I added a little bling to it with glitter glue. I used my ink chalk to do the edging on the sediment "sweet birthday wishes."

Please visit Lorby's World to learn more about this cute card and thank you for visiting us here at Chalk n Stock and don't forget about linking up to our wonderful challenge where you can win 7 (Yes 7) digital stamps from Bugaboo Stamps.

Nikki's Inspiration piece

Welcome back to another inspiration piece and this week it is a Christmas card.  I have chalked the edge of the image to give it a distressed look and coloured  the gorgeous bugaboo image with pro markers.
More details are on my blog NMCardcreations   so please stop by and take a look.

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to join our challenge at Chalk N Stock this fortnight 2 favourite colours.

I'm back...

Hey everyone...Lynda here back to do another guest designer month here with the fantastic ladies of the Chalk n Stock blog!  I love combining my chalks with other mediums to create different and diverse color effects on my projects.  I think my favorite is chalks with Copics.  I love the effect you get when you add the chalk to the Copic colored image and that you can erase the chalk and start over again if you find yourself not liking what you've done anywhere on your project.  Chalk is such a forgiving medium to work with.

For my project this week I decided to work with this fantastic image from Bugaboo stamps titled Dottie Yoga:

isn't she awesome! I have a friend that is really into yoga, so I colored this card to look like her and hope that it brings a smile to her face when she opens it.

The current challenge is to use two of your favorite colors...be sure to create something fun and link it up on the November 1 blog post here.

Happy crafting...Lynda

Believe..

Hello, and Happy Friday!

DSC_0004-WM2

I used Stamp N Plus Scrap N powdered chalk to color the background for sentiments.  The paper that I used looks like its marbled, and the chalk really enhances it.  These cards came together rather quickly….with a few embellishments!

See my blog for more details on these cards.

Thanks for stopping by!
