Fabulous you!

Hello,

Today I am sharing a fun paper pieced card.  This adorable stamp from Unity Stamps was so easy to paper piece.  I am not the best at cutting out images, so if I say it was easy, I mean it!  I used chalk ink around my image and card base for a little distressing.

There are lots more details on my blog but I have basically used Chalk mist sprays to create the background( yellow and orange) , then stamped the glasses on top.  The image from bugaboo has been coloured with pro markers.

Chalk to set the mood

Hi everyone, Lynda here with my final September guest designer post.  I love that you can add chalk to any stamped creation to create a mood for your project.  For my project I started out coloring this wonderful digital image using my Copic markers.  I then created the fun background using washi tape that I layered around the edges of my card base.  I then went back and chalked the background behind the image to match the washi tape.  I LOVE how it turned out...such a warm feeling to the card from just a few swipes of the chalk in a few fall colors.

I hope you'll pull out your chalks and add some great background and set the mood for your next stamping project!

Happy crafting....Lynda

Embossing and chalk

Hi everyone...Lynda here as the guest designer for September.  For my project today I wanted to showcase how you can add some wonderful details to an embossed image using chalk.  I picked this light colored cardstock and embossed it with this wonderful pattern.  I then took some light pink chalk and went over the high parts on the cardstock.  I then stamped and colored this wonderful image from Tiddly Inks.  I added some chalk to the image to add some depth to the unicorn.  A strip of pattern paper, a sentiment sticker, and this wonderful flower and my card was done...

I hope you'll try adding some chalk to your embossed cards.

Happy crafting...Lynda

Supplies:  Image:  Tiddly Inks, chalk: Close to my Heart; Pattern paper:  Memory Box; Sentiment sticker:  SRM; flower:  Prima.

Using Chalk To Color Designer Paper

Hello,

For my card today I used Stamp N Plus Scrap N Powdered Chalk to color my designer paper.  The paper that I used was black and white, and I decided to add some green and gold powdered chalk to my background.  This is an easy way to create the perfect paper to accent your project.   I also used Unity Stamps for my focal image.

The cute stamp is revealed upon opening the card...
oh I love this ... so darn cute...

they were too 'perfect' and 'shinny' cuz you never see boots 'perfect'...heehee
oh and I used Stardust chalk too, it gave a shimmer over the boots too...
I used Punkin Patch Stamps

Monday Monday

Monday, monday, can't trust that day
Monday, monday, sometimes it just turns out that way

Well I certainly hope your Monday is going as you had hoped... Lynda here with another Monday project for you.  My youngest daughter is a HUGE monkey fan....and when I found these adorable notebooks in the back to school aisle I knew that with a little added something-something that she would LOVE to have this tucked in her backpack for school.

I first printed this adorable monkey image onto white cardstock.  I then colored her in with my Copic markers and then added the chalk background...I also added chalk in places to add some shadowing and depth to my colored image.

She LOVES her new notebook and was so happy to stick it in her backpack as she ran out the door for the bus this morning...

So...Monday, monday...so glad mine turned out with a project that was a success!!!

Happy crafting....Lynda

Tissue box and chalk…

Hello,

Its Friday – Tameko here to share with you!

I have been on the hunt this week for items that I could recycle into my projects.

How do you like my background?

There was not coloring on my part.  It’s a tissue box!

DSC_0002-WM

I used Powder Puff Chalking Ink to edge my card, and for my sentiment.  The recycled tissue box was such an easy addition to this card.

More details on this project here, on my blog.

Do you have anything that you could recycle into a project?

We hope that you join in our “Recycle” challenge.

You can use any image and any kind of chalk on your project.

Have a great weekend, and thanks for visiting!

Hi there...Lynda here back as the guest designer this month.  I am so excited to share again with you this month.  For my project this week I first picked out this adorable image and colored her.  I then chalked her background.  I then set out to find the perfect paper and elements to complete my card.  I found the paper, but wasn't happy with the other elements as I was matching them up....I kept going back to the cover of the package of snippets from the Basic Grey Clippings line...the color was a perfect match...

because I liked it so much...I cut it out of the cover...and used it on my card...

I hope you'll look at your packaging a little more from now on....and pull out your chalk and get busy creating some wonderful backgrounds!

Happy crafting....Lynda
