My address labels and chalk!

Hello Everyone!

Do you ever use office supplies when you craft?  I do….  As a matter of fact I try to find a way to use anything that I can when I craft.  Have you noticed that duct tape, has become so stylish these days.  It comes in some of the most fun patterns.  Well on to my card….I saw a tutorial by Korin – Sweet N Sassy Stamps a very long time ago, where she used address labels and distress inks.  For my card I first colored my address labels with 3 different colors of chalk, then I stamped my image several times.  I absolutely love how this powdered chalk blends!

I hope that I have inspired you to break out all those supplies and create something!

Have a fabulous weekend…

Supplies Used:  Sweet N Sassy – Serene Silhouettes, Stamp N Plus Scrap N – Powdered Chalk, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Cuttlebug – Swiss Dot Embossing Folder, Cardstock – White, Blue, Orange, & Green, SU – Modern Label Punch, Black Ink

Until next time…Happy Chalking!

My Hero !

Hey it's Chalk time
I have a few more father's day cards that I put together
using chalk...

this card I used heat embossing for the images
then used powdered chalk over the top of the image
it took the shine out of the embossing...it turned out just great...
just what I was looking for....

This next card I used the water/chalk spray to give it a shimmer
just perfect for the extra touch on your card...

You all have a happy weekend...

Peace, Love, & Chalk

Hello!  Hello!  Peace, Love, and Chalk friends!!!

For today's Chalk project I made this card!  The bottom layer of the card is made with solid and powdered chalks, inks, and water.

I also used Magic Tape - the thinner size - and dusted fine Glitter over top from Stamp Affair.  It stuck on there PERFECTLY!  It was a lovely surprise of an outcome to that little experiment!

Sticko came out with glittery peace signs so I used one of those.

And the tye-dye backing is actually one of the NEW Designer Duct Tapes!  I LOVE it!  I have 2 different tye-dye prints of tape from Duct Tape!  I also used Martha Stewart Gems and Vellum Stickers in this project, too!

I love to cook with wine....

Musical pockets

Hello Everyone,

Today I am sharing a fun music pocket that I designed for a swap on Your Paper Pantry.  There are so many fun elements to this project.  On the tag that I am showing here I have dusted it with one of my favorite powdered chalks - Stamp N Plus - "Ritzy".  Unfortunately my photo does not pick up the shimmer but it is beautiful! I have also used some of Martha's - Creating Is Fun lace in gold and cream.  Have you seen the beautiful selection that she has?  If not check out her shop here.

More details on this project on my blog here.

Hello Chalk N Stock Followers!

Are you ready for the weekend?

I am…

For my card today, I was all over the place trying to decide what I wanted use to create my project.  Sometimes my best projects don’t come from any planned process.  I like the rich colors ,and shimmer of this project.  I dusted my paper with powdered chalk, then I stamped my image with Colorbox chalk ink.  I also sprayed my cream colored lace with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst Spray.

Remember you still have time to join our anything goes challenge.

Just Winging It on a Terrific Tuesday!

Hello!  Jennifer, here, posting on a Tuesday for Chalk N Stock!

Today's project I was just WINGING IT!  By that I mean...I made my own stencils and color for this project!

I took a piece of paper and tore it by hand and covered the top and bottom of another piece of paper.  I then used Ink Pads, Powdered Chalk from Chalk-Ah-lot, and Ranger Alcohol Inks to create the middle section of color!  I blended the mediums together to give it a textured look.  I stamped 3 images from a Close To My Heart Acrylic Stamp Set.  Once it dried I added a gem.

A bit different for me...but...I have been getting into a bunch of different crafty things lately and I have LOTS of projects that are partially finished and/or drying...so stay tuned!  Thanks for visiting!
