Friday Sunshine…

Hello,

I hope that you have had a wonderful week!

DSC_0177-WM

I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I sit down to create a project, I just have too many ideas in my head.  Not to mention, too many forgotten products.  For this card I pulled out my  forgotten Faber Castell Aquarelle Pencils to color my image, and then I used powdered chalk to add a little dimension to the edges of the image.  I love the seamless application that can be achieved with the Stamp N Plus Scrap N powdered chalk.  My photo does not pick it up, but my sentiment also has the same chalk applied to the edges.

I hope that I have inspired you to pull out your chalk products, and play!

Remember you still have time to join out “Get Well” challenge!

Until next time,

Keep Chalking!

Get Well...

Chalk Style....

Oh I love the Stardust chalk...
you can add it to some water or alcohol in a small spray bottle..
then shake and spray!!
I also use my heat gun to set the spray and speed up the drying time.

I use this on almost every project to give it a shine...

Wednesdays in July

Wednesdays in July mean that you get another post from the guest designer for the month...me, Lynda!!!  Today I am sharing with you another Chalk and Copics creation I made.  Note how you can add the chalk to the copics directly to alter the colors to make them richer in places and then directly to the white area of my image to create a subtle background behind her...

I do hope you'll give the Chalk and Copics combo a try...  I love that if I make a mistake I simply erase the chalk and start over again at shading...perfect shading every time!!!

Happy crafting...Lynda

Supplies used:  Digital image:  Dilly Beans, Chalks:  Close to My Heart, Markers: Copics; Fiber:  Really Reasonable Ribbons, Pattern paper:  Cosmo Cricket; Button from my stash.  Sentiment is computer generated using Word.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Hello...Lynda here as the guest designer for the month of July!  Happy 4th of July!!!  I hope you are spending the day with friends and family...I am so excited to share with you each Wednesday some of my favorite creations featuring chalk!

Because today is all about spending time with friends, I thought I would celebrate a special friendship with a card.  For this card, I first stamped my image using Memento ink.  I colored the base of the image using Copic markers...then comes the magic...adding chalk in places on your stamped image to add shadows...  the fantastic part about adding chalk to colored images is that if you make a mistake you simply erase the chalk and start over.  I also used chalk to color the background behind the entire image.

I hope you'll give this technique a try...I'm sure you'll find it is a super fun and easy way to add depth to any stamped project!

Happy crafting...Lynda
